Elevate is part of Project GPS2 and is targeting campus athletes to introduce and stimulate Math, Science, Technology and Engineering majors and careers.

The program components include:

* events that create meaningful connections with athletics and STEM
* events that create meaningful connections with Stem majors and careers
* career assessment
* tutoring in STEM Subjects
* cohorting athletes into courses that include STEM sponsored Supplemental Instruction
* internships
* connecting future teachers with science and math teaching opportunities
* service learning experiences in the STEM areas
* learning community courses
* contact and visits with 4 year universities that provide additional education in the STEM fields

Prepare for Success: Math Boot Camp

Eighteen Fullerton College Athletes attended a pilot Success in Math Boot Camp on campus from August 10 – 13. Designed and instructed by two Fullerton College Math Instructors, Paul Farnham and Nick Huerta, it included study and test strategies and specifics related to course content for Math 20 and Math 40.
